RSE film for parents and carers

This film supports parents and carers of children to learn more about relationships and sex education (RSE ) for children with SEND. It was produced with staff,  pupils, parents, and carers from two special schools in Derbyshire and the Derbyshire Public Health Nursing Service.

Young people with SEND often need support from school and home , and other services to

  • manage life events such as puberty , growing up and forming intimate relationships ,
  • understanding concepts such as private and public , consent and boundaries and good and bad touch.

In the film you will hear from parents and carers about some of the issues they have experienced and how support in this area has helped them.
