Hardwick
Welcome to Hardwick Class

Spring 1 - This week Hardwick have been excited to create our 3D birds and filling up our bird feeders for our big bird watch. Through the week Hardwick have completed a bird watch survey and have spotted several different species of birds.
Spring 1 - Hardwick class have been working hard to recognise and celebrate their own positive attributes as part of our Mental Health week.
Autumn 2 - Hardwick have been exploring different cultural sites as part of our Beyond Bennerley lesson this term. We have visited a couple of different parks and the cinema to explore hobbies and interests. We have been learning about prepositional language in Maths, healthy eating in PSHE then began the count down to Christmas! Lots of fun and happy excited children.
Autumn 2 - Yesterday Hardwick have had a super time travelling to Nottingham showcase cinema to watch Paddington in Peru as part of our Beyond Bennerley lesson on our hobbies and interests. For some children it was their first experience of the cinema and now they can't wait to go back again. Very happy children with recliner seats and popcorn. Fun was had by all.
Autumn Term - Hardwick class have had some real fun adventures this past 2 weeks. We visited Amber Valley gymnastics as part of our hobbies and interests for Beyond Bennerley. We had some fun playing in the snow at forest schools building our snow creations and making potato hedgehogs to race in the snow. Weβve been working hard on our fine and gross motor skills too.
Autumn Term - Itβs been a busy couple of weeks again in Hardwick class. We have been enjoying our science/ outdoor learning lessons, Forest school and STEM day last week and Hello Yellow day this week. All children are really settling well into the new school year, engaging in all lessons and making new friendships at playtimes too.
Autumn Term
We have been very busy in the last 2 weeks in Hardwick class, getting to know each other and getting busy doing lots of hard work. In PE we have been learning about how to dribble a ball and change direction whilst doing this. In Science we have been looking at different properties of materials and how we can make paper so it is waterproof with wax crayons. In Maths we have been learning about length and height - we measured various objects and each other either using cubes or metre rules.
The children have all settled in to the new term really well and are coming into class smiling and leaving with smiles on their faces! We are super proud of how much they have all achieved already over the last 2 weeks - well done Hardwick!
Hardwick is a class of friendly, funny and hardworking students exploring new ideas and experiences as well as making sure key concepts and knowledge are secure. We like to develop our independence and have a variety of experiences in our local community and the wider world.
