Anxiety and Depression

Anxiety is a feeling of worry, uneasiness or fear that is experienced as a combination of physical sensations, thoughts and feelings.

Depression is a mental health condition where you feel very down all or most of the time.

All of us will feel sad or low in mood at times; it’s a normal part of being human. But if these feelings continue for a long time and start to make everyday life difficult, then you may be experiencing depression.

 

 

Mental health and self-care for young people

There's loads of things we can all do to look after our mental wellbeing, and taking any time you can for self-care is massively important.

Knowing what steps we can take to support our mental wellbeing can help us feel better, sleep better and have better relationships with the people around us – and that goes not just for today but for the future too.
