Elvaston
Welcome to Elvaston’s class page! We’re an enthusiastic and vibrant KS3 class of 12 students. The teaching staff are Nathan, Ellis, Sim, and Kirsty .
In our class, we embrace diversity and celebrate all student's unique abilities and talents. We believe that every individual has the potential to thrive and make positive progress at their own pace. We strive to create a warm and nurturing environment where kindness, empathy and respect for one another are at the core of everything we do. Each student's voice is valued, and we encourage active participation knowing that every contribution is significant. We celebrate everyone's achievements and work together as a team to earn class marbles. When our marble jar is full, we can decide as a team what special treat to have, this could be a movie afternoon, a special trip, games day etc. Pupils can also earn class dojo points for individual achievements by demonstrating the Bennerley Attitudes. At the end of the week, we have a student of a week.
In Elvaston class, we foster a love for learning and exploration. We will be investigating a range of topics this year - our current topic is "1066" and we will be learning all about The Battle of Hastings. Our curriculum incorporates; enrichment activities, recognising and expressing our emotions, keeping safe online, visits out in the community, Forest School and PE. Maths, English, Science and PSHE are our core subjects that focus on developing fundamental skills.
In our class, we are a family – a community that cares for one another, celebrates each other's successes and support each other through setbacks. Together, we aim to inspire, uplift and empower each other to embrace our potential and make a positive impact to the school and wider community.
