Nurture. Support. Aspire. Achieve.

Wollaton

Wollaton Staff

Welcome to our class! Our ethos is rooted in respect, curiosity, and a love for learning. We believe in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to grow. Our curriculum blends core academic skills with creative exploration, encouraging critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world application. Together, we strive to build a community of learners who are kind, confident, and ready to make a difference.

In Wollaton, we value our knowledge rich topics and we view them as an important part of the pupil’s entitlement to a broad and balanced curriculum. All of our topics provide the pupils with the opportunities to develop, extend skills and act as an opportunity to express their individual interests, thoughts and ideas.

Through our topic work we aim to engage, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, explore and create.  As pupils progress through their work, they will practise skills to think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of the topic.

Our topics this year include:

  • Press Play
  • Stars and Stripes
  • Urban Life
  • The Roman Empire
  • Hubble Bubble Boil and Trouble
  • Magnificent Metals
