On Monday 8th June, the year 11s set off on an exciting trip to Hollowford, Derbyshire. The first thing we had to do was to unpack our bags and make our beds. After a lovely lunch we set off on our first adventue...the high ropes including the leap of faith. Then the obtstacle course.
On Tuesday the 5th of May, we went to France and Belgium. It was amazing to spend time with my friends and staff. In St Omer there was a beautiful church. It was old and interesting, it was also massive! In Belgium we visted Menin gate, it was a arch that had all the names of the soliders who died in WW1. There were thousands of names from all over the world. I liked it because it was pretty place where you can pay your respect. I also enjoyed going to a chocolate shop and baying chocolate for my family.
I would definitely go back i really enjoyed it!!!!!
We went to France on the Eurotunnel. It was a long journey. When we go there we went to St Omer and then to a park where we saw peacocks, chickens and other birds, it rained and we got soaked. When we got back we made tarts, it was lots of fun. The next day we went to Belgium. We bought chocolates for our families. We learned about the war at an enormous museum, we had a drink at the cafe. After that we had a picnic on the park. In the afternoon, we went to the trenches. They were very muddy and had dark tunnels. That evening we ate snails, they tasted nice! And danced with our friends in the disco. The whole trip was superb!!!
