Welcome to class 4S. We are really excited to be part of our new department, our objective being to provide extra sensory and nurturing support to our students. Our classroom space includes a new shared area with 3/4A which has a sensory and life skills area; a large open space which the students access throughout the day. Wellbeing underpins our curriculum and during the school week students participate in a number of sensory activities including mindfulness and yoga.
This year our 5 students will be taking part in a wide and varied curriculum covering academic subjects alongside developing their life skills in areas such as cooking, gardening and shopping. All of the activities they undertake form part of the AIMS award syllabus, which provides each student with certification of their achievement during their time in KS4.
