Busy Bees (KS1)

Welcome to our Key Stage One class, we are the Busy Bees!

We are a happy, lively and busy class of six pupils. Our teacher is Kirsty and our teaching assistants are Nicola, Laura and Karen. We love to learn through exploration and play. We have exciting topics based on our interests.

We enjoy participating in out of school learning and encouraging people to come into school to visit us. We try to learn outside of the classroom for each new topic and have visited places of interest such as The Space Centre and local areas such as Ilkeston Fair. We love getting out and about in the community and enjoy going to local shops, cafes and parks.

Sensory exploration is a big part of our learning. We have sensory swimming sessions at Victoria Leisure Centre and spend time on our sensory learning as part of classroom activities and during one to one sessions, such as intensive interaction.

Together we are learning good things, working hard and achieving.
