At Bennerley Fields School pupils and students have access to the internet via a number of different devices. As part of our online safety provision the school ensures that no pupil or student has access to the internet without staff supervision. Also within school pupils and students use of the internet is monitored by filtering and firewall software. This prevents pupils and students gaining access to unsuitable internet content.

The school’s e-Safety and Computing Committee regularly meets to check our systems are working efficiently to keep your children safe.

For parents and carers it can be far more difficult to monitor the internet use of children and young people. However, there are a number of simple steps which parents and carers can take to protect their children.

If you would like help and advice to support your child to access the internet safely or use social media and mobile phones, please contact the school’s online team on esafety@bennerleyfields.derbyshire.sch.uk. We will reply to your questions promptly.
